In the past few centuries we
have gradually lost our respect for the Mother Earth. The forces
of nature have been considered unpredictable and in need of control.
Man has tried to tame the goddess
Gaia and force her to bow to his will. In typically feminine
fashion she appears to accept, passively surrendering to his domination.
But then, when and where he least expects it, she strikes back
with a turn of events that he is unprepared for and does not even
connect with his own thoughtless behaviour.
