These days, almost the only place we see the vulva represented is in pornography. The images you see in porn only represent a few of the shapes and sizes of vulva that are natural amongst women. Many women feel worried about how their genitals look due to this misinformation. Many young men expect women to look like the unrealistic, airbrushed images they see in soft porn mags.
The education we get in school tends to be anatomical and cringe worthy. The cross section through a woman’s body we see in sex ed lessons is not much help when you actually meet a vulva in the flesh!
